SOME OF OUR MOST NEEDED VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
It’s critical that the Red Cross have a trained, ready volunteer workforce to ensure we can provide relief at a moment’s notice. SHELTER VOLUNTEERS Be the safety, comfort, and hope for those who are unexpectedly impacted by disasters. Help coordinate basic human needs like shelter, food, and other necessities so they can begin putting their lives back together.
HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Licensed healthcare professionals needed! With predictions for a very active hurricane and wildfire season, disaster victims need your expert care and comfort. Training is free and CE credit is available. For those able to travel outside of their local area, a commitment of at least 10 consecutive days, with shifts of 8 or 12 hours each (we'll cover travel, food, and accommodations). Licenses required: RN, LPN, LVN, EMT, Paramedic, MD, DO, PA, NP, APRN. It’s the hardest job you will ever love!
DISASTER FINANCE VOLUNTEER Do you have fiscal management experience and skills that could help the Red Cross be more efficient in providing disaster relief? Whether it's providing virtual or onsite support, by leveraging your skill set testing financial controls, monitoring expenses, or analyzing data, you can have a significant impact helping people affected by disasters.
DISASTER PUBLIC AFFAIRS Is telling a story something that interests you? Help tell the Red Cross story as a Red Cross Public Affairs volunteer. During a disaster, be a critical member of the team that helps people know where to get help and what the Red Cross is doing.
