The American Red Cross was among the responders on the ground, preparing a large response effort as Hurricane Harvey bore down on Texas and Louisiana. Thanks to our strong network of volunteers, donors and community partners, we were able to provide lifesaving sheltering and meals to thousands of people, as well as relief supplies such as blankets, cots, comfort kits, and kitchen and cleaning supplies. We were also able to deploy more than 200 emergency response fleet vehicles.
