When is Red Cross Giving Day?
The fifth annual American Red Cross Giving Day is on Wednesday March 27, 2019. Giving Day takes place in March during Red Cross Month, a time to recognize heroes who help those in need in their community all year round.
What is Giving Day?
Giving Day is an opportunity for local communities to come together on one day to help the families who have been impacted by a home fire or other disaster and who urgently need Red Cross services to get back on their feet.
Why should I make a donation on Giving Day?
Your gift can provide hope and critical relief, like food, shelter and other essentials to people who need it most. When we each donate on Giving Day, we can make an impact and help more families after a disaster or home fire.
Will my information be shared?
No. The information collected during the event is only used by the American Red Cross. It will not be sold or shared with third party organizations.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax deductible. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes.

How will my Red Cross Giving Day donation be used?
Donations made on this website for Red Cross Giving Day will be used for Red Cross Disaster Relief which supports disasters big and small, including home fires.
How will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Upon completing your donation on redcross.org you will receive a confirmation receipt for your donation at the email address you provided when you made your donation.
Can I make a donation before March 27?
Yes, you don’t have to wait until Giving Day to help families in urgent need. You can donate now. You will receive a confirmation receipt to the email address provided when you completed your donation. Your donation will be included in the total amount raised for Giving Day.
