Taking a BLS Class
Basic Life Support Training
The American Red Cross offers BLS training for individuals and teams, and courses that are held entirely in person, or through our blended Simulation Learning experience, which combines online classwork with in-person skills sessions. This way, you can learn on your schedule - and in the way that suits you best. Regardless of which type of course you choose, you'll receive instruction from world-class professionals, as well as science-based information that includes the latest protocols, so you can deliver care to those in need and help improve patient outcomes.
Providing BLS Care
For BLS providers, when emergencies arise, it's your job to be able to provide care to whomever is in need. That's why Red Cross BLS classes cover best practices for delivering care to infants, children and adults. And because skills can be lost if they're not used regularly, we also offer refresher materials and a printout of some basic BLS steps that can help you stay sharp between calls.

BLS Education and Training
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.SNM13 days agoIt was time for me to renew my BLS Certification, so I contacted The Amercian Red Cross to enroll in a class. The instructor that was assigned to our class was absolutely outstanding. He was meticulous in explaining the "why's and what for's" in every aspect of this course as well as continual reinforcement of the principles. He was an expert in engaging with the class, assessing the individual abilities of the students and then coaching them to ultimate success. In short, a master educator and ... trainer! This was a fantastic class!

I appreciate that she truly made participants practice the skills and the training mannequins were different from others I've worked with. Very cool. Although a real person won't light up, I think it was good feedback for people who don't know how to compress properly.

The online piece took a little time and kept knocking me off on-line and I had to complete on my phone. Other than that I enjoyed the class

Couldn't have gone better

It was easy to complete the online learning portion in my spare time. Everything I completed was saved automatically and I was able to pick up where I left off every time I logged back in. The clinical portion was concise, well organized, and provided an excellent review of the material. The instructor was kind, intelligent, and tailored the class to the needs of the ... participants. The mannequins utilized were clean, ample in number, and technologically superior to anything I have used in the past 25 years.
