Taking a BLS Class

Basic Life Support Training
The American Red Cross offers BLS training for individuals and teams, and courses that are held entirely in person, or through our blended Simulation Learning experience, which combines online classwork with in-person skills sessions. This way, you can learn on your schedule - and in the way that suits you best. Regardless of which type of course you choose, you'll receive instruction from world-class professionals, as well as science-based information that includes the latest protocols, so you can deliver care to those in need and help improve patient outcomes.

Providing BLS Care
For BLS providers, when emergencies arise, it's your job to be able to provide care to whomever is in need. That's why Red Cross BLS classes cover best practices for delivering care to infants, children and adults. And because skills can be lost if they're not used regularly, we also offer refresher materials and a printout of some basic BLS steps that can help you stay sharp between calls.

The instructor was very in depth with his knowledge and skills administered amongst the class. BLS Class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Hailey C4 years agoThe in-person class was the best part about the course. Keith Lorenz is not only knowledgeable and friendly - he gave us real life examples, experiences of his that made the problem-solving and critical thinking portion of our demonstrations understandable. You can also tell when someone is passionate about their work and their teaching. Keith exemplifies this. I can't say enough about Keith - I have taken many CPR courses over the years, but didn't feel as confident about it as I do now. Thank you.

Quick, informative, and fun!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Alex21823 years agoMy instructor Christopher was great. He figured out what everyone’s levels of knowledge were and helped everyone individually improve their skills. I am happy to take this class and stay up to date on the new techniques since my last course. He was also very helpful over email when I had a question. I did 1/2 online 1/2 in person. I liked doing the lecture part online because I think I paid better attention to everything. Overall I would definitely recommend this course! They also provide a AHA ... tester if you need both (it costs extra).

Great
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.gold253 weeks agoI completed this training last week. I found that I preferred the ARC training over the AHA training. More detailed information provided. The online piece took a little time and kept knocking me off on-line and I had to complete on my phone. Other than that I enjoyed the class

CPR healthcare
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Erin Elizabeth2 months agoThe class was efficient, teacher was nice and clear on expectations. My only complaint is when it was test taking time, the first of the students who finished the test were allowed to talked loudly among themselves and with the instructor making it hard to concentrate on the test for those if us still taking it. Hopefully in the future the instructor can be more conscious of that.

Quick and simple
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Kyu Lee2 weeks agoNo real complaints with the course content, but I'm used to a tourniquet tutorial and a lesson about wound closure.

Shawna was great
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.TomLa4 years agoIn today's COVID environment, holding in person training is difficult. Shawna managed to put it together wonderfully and in a way it was easy to follow and understand. She's a great instructor.
