Taking a BLS Class

Basic Life Support Training
The American Red Cross offers BLS training for individuals and teams, and courses that are held entirely in person, or through our blended Simulation Learning experience, which combines online classwork with in-person skills sessions. This way, you can learn on your schedule - and in the way that suits you best. Regardless of which type of course you choose, you'll receive instruction from world-class professionals, as well as science-based information that includes the latest protocols, so you can deliver care to those in need and help improve patient outcomes.

Providing BLS Care
For BLS providers, when emergencies arise, it's your job to be able to provide care to whomever is in need. That's why Red Cross BLS classes cover best practices for delivering care to infants, children and adults. And because skills can be lost if they're not used regularly, we also offer refresher materials and a printout of some basic BLS steps that can help you stay sharp between calls.

Very informative. Best class I have taken so far.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.muziani54 years agoI took the BLS class in Princeton NJ. It was the best class I have taken so far and I have been in a couple different classes that were not with the American Red Cross. I definitely will continue to recertify with the American Red Cross. I learned so much more and my instructor was great. He really took the time to go over everything and made sure everyone was doing things properly and explained something if someone needed it.

Quick, informative, and fun!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Alex21823 years agoMy instructor Christopher was great. He figured out what everyone’s levels of knowledge were and helped everyone individually improve their skills. I am happy to take this class and stay up to date on the new techniques since my last course. He was also very helpful over email when I had a question. I did 1/2 online 1/2 in person. I liked doing the lecture part online because I think I paid better attention to everything. Overall I would definitely recommend this course! They also provide a AHA ... tester if you need both (it costs extra).

Couldn't have gone better
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.JCarlin2 weeks agoThe process of selecting a date, time and location for the clinical portion of the class was very straight forward. It was easy to complete the online learning portion in my spare time. Everything I completed was saved automatically and I was able to pick up where I left off every time I logged back in. The clinical portion was concise, well organized, and provided an excellent review of the material. The instructor was kind, intelligent, and tailored the class to the needs of the ... participants. The mannequins utilized were clean, ample in number, and technologically superior to anything I have used in the past 25 years.

CPR healthcare
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Erin Elizabeth4 weeks agoThe class was efficient, teacher was nice and clear on expectations. My only complaint is when it was test taking time, the first of the students who finished the test were allowed to talked loudly among themselves and with the instructor making it hard to concentrate on the test for those if us still taking it. Hopefully in the future the instructor can be more conscious of that.

Good course, easy enough to get through. When doing individual practice maybe would have been better if all of us had a body . There was only 5 of us I'm sure she had that many bodies with and aeds. Then we could have individually practiced all of it and been more prepared when did group practice
