Performing First Aid
At the Red Cross, first aid training prepares you to provide care to children, adults, and pets during times of crisis. However, like many things, if you don't use your skills frequently, they're easy to forget. That's why, when you take our first aid certification classes, you'll also receive free online access to our first aid refreshers and a printable list of the basic steps for performing first aid. This way, you can practice your skills regularly, and keep reminders in the places you might need them most, like in the first aid kit in your car, home, or desk.

Happy to recommend

In order to recertify in time, I registered for the online class. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was impressed. The "Missions" were well done, and I was able to watch them a second time for reinforcement. I then went for my in-person skills testing. My instructor was great. She reviewed the highlights and ran us through a practice run before we tested. I am happy to recommend this class.

Great Class but Slightly Strange Format

I felt a lot more confident in my knowledge and abilities after the class. My only issue with the class is that I took the Adult First Aid/CPR/AED class but the in-person skills class also included the children's section so I had to sit through some information that I wasn't getting certified for. It wasn't a big deal but it seems like they should have put that information at the end so those who didn't need that ... information could leave early.

I have previously been a CPR instructor and been CPR certified and I believe this is the most entertaining and informative class I have ever taken through the Red Cross. I also appreciate how much safety was emphasised during the class as we are still in a pandemic. The fact that the ARC as a whole and the instructor individually were clear about taking that seriously is something that I am very grateful for. It ... was a very good experience over all.

She is very knowledgeable and represents The American Red Cross well. This was with fifth time taking a CRP/AED/First Aid course and this was for sure my favorite class. It was my first time taking it through the American Red Cross. I learned many new things throughout this class. I also took a First Aid for Opioid Overdose class online a few days after this class and was also very pleased. I plan ... to take one or two more online courses. I help with first aid at my church and I now feel I am more prepared in the event of a medical emergency.

Amazing knowledgeable instructor great teaching
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Janelis2 months agoI’ve been to at least four other first aid CPR trainings and this is the best one yet. I’m not great with names but I have to say that the teacher was excellent she had a great personality and made everyone feel Comfortable as well as having great knowledge of every subject she taught with ease and the hands on training which I believe is a lot more effective than just talking the whole time or watching a video I definitely would recommend it no matter how Far I went To get this training it was worth it!

Not sure why the selection of five stars is not holding in each section. Chase Lawrence was well prepared did an excellent job of explaining each of the training segments and illustrating the procedures in each of the categories --- CPR, First Aid and AED.

Some hiccups.
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Dmugs1 week agoMy company signed me up for the class. A little frustrating when the class was canceled after I had begun the online training portion. My company resigned me up and I was able to complete the course. Though the online portion was a little deceptive on how long that portion would take. The in class portion went a lot smoother. I appreciated the instructor trying to keep it light with a little humor.
