Performing First Aid
At the Red Cross, first aid training prepares you to provide care to children, adults, and pets during times of crisis. However, like many things, if you don't use your skills frequently, they're easy to forget. That's why, when you take our first aid certification classes, you'll also receive free online access to our first aid refreshers and a printable list of the basic steps for performing first aid. This way, you can practice your skills regularly, and keep reminders in the places you might need them most, like in the first aid kit in your car, home, or desk.

FA/CPR/AED Experience

The hands on experience coupled with the instruction helped build my competence and confidence. Also, the instructor’s real world EMT experience added a valuable dimension to the class. I would highly recommend this training experience for everyone.

Amazing knowledgeable instructor great teaching

I’m not great with names but I have to say that the teacher was excellent she had a great personality and made everyone feel Comfortable as well as having great knowledge of every subject she taught with ease and the hands on training which I believe is a lot more effective than just talking the whole time or watching a video I definitely would recommend it no matter how Far I went To get this training it was worth it!

I leaned a lot and was surprised what I thought I knew about burns was wrong. The instructor was amazing full of knowledge and energy, she actually made the class fun, exciting and learning easy. I know for a fact I can give CPR AND FIRST AID TO AN ADULT OR CHILD WHICH COULD RESULT IN SAVING A LIFE! Thank you Catina!

I enjoyed the class, the person who did the training was well-educated, she gave great practical information, modeled the moves for us, made us practice some situations. In order to recertify in time, I registered for the online class. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was impressed. The "Missions" were well done, and I was able to watch them a second time for reinforcement. I then went for my in-person skills testing. My instructor was great. She reviewed the highlights and ran us through a practice run before we tested. I am happy to recommend this class.

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.QIZU3 years agoI'm required to stay up-to-date on certification in AED/CPR/FA for my job, and since my job wasn't allowed to do our normal in-person trainings this year due to COVID, we were all on our own. The online class followed by the 1-year provisional in-person class ended up being perfect for me. Everything I needed to review was covered, and in a way I could easily understand. The instructor for the in-person class was a little cranky at first, but it was early in the morning, so no judgement. He ... ended up covering everything we needed to know very professionally once we actually got started.

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Kristel3 years agoThis is my second time taking the Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course. Of the two instructors I've had, this instructor, Melanie, was by far the best. She was engaging and interactive. She kept us entertaining and encouraged participation. She was open to question and answered them very well. I love that she provided her own experiences as well. Additionally, she provided a pretty good explanation of why certain steps are taken based on physiological principles. I have my PhD physiology ... and neuroscience, and the way she explained why processes are implemented in a certain way really helped us remember the content.

Really informative
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.MH283 years agoI did the adult and infant CPR/first aid/AED class. I was nervous to go because I have zero experience with any of those things. By the end of the class I had not only gained a lot of information but had practiced a lot of the skills and felt confident that I would be able to help in an emergency situation. The instructor also informed the class about an app that we can use to keep up on our skills which is also really helpful. Overall, I'm very happy that I went to the class.

Quick course and donation site!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Niduan1171 week agoMy course in JC,NJ was canceled last minute and I needed to reschedule for that same week because I was on Spring Break. This class thankfully was open. The instructor kept a good pace. Enjoyable to work on the mannequins. Feel more comfortable with the skill set now. I even gave blood afterwards!

Really integral to have the In-Person training!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.StayingAlive253 days agoThe online course was pretty comprehensive definitely a necessary precursor to the in person learning as it made you memorize all the steps and procedures. There were a few things that weren't mentioned/ or quizzed on before they had been taught. But overall engaging. The In-Person learning was really the most impactful thing. Our instructor Rea was incredible and really helped you use all that memorized theory knowledge and put it to practical use! They even judged and helped improve ... techniques and used many real world scenarios to help you visualize how & when you'd use these skills. Without the in person learning, this training wouldn't have been useable for me just theory that I would have forgotten.

I was able to retain a lot of the information as well to apply it for future insuations. I would recommend this instructor for future training.Thank you, Ms.Yadira.
