Easy Bridging to Become
a Red Cross Instructor
Do you or your Instructors, Instructor Trainers and/or Training Center Faculty hold a current Instructor certification from a comparable training organization such as the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Health & Safety Institute (HSI)? If so, it’s easy to bridge to American Red Cross training courses.
1. Register for the appropriate bridge.
2. Fill out the online form and submit it with the required credentials.
3. Review program materials for the course.
4. Take the free online Instructor bridge course. No in-person class is required.

Easy Crossover or Reentry Courses to become a Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor
Do you have Instructors and/or Instructor Trainers certified with another equivalent training program and interested in teaching Red Cross Lifeguarding Programs? It’s easy to get trained by completing an abbreviated blended learning crossover course designed for Instructors to achieve Red Cross instructor certification to teach. For more information, visit the Instructor Candidates Page on the Red Cross Learning Center.
If you are unable to find a course in your area, please reach out to your local aquatic facility.

Great Features, easy to follow
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Gibby68864 years agoI did this class as a Instructor Bridge Over from AHA Instructor. Also completed the BLS, First Aid/CPR/AED, and CPR/AED. I understand completing all the classes, but once I down load the AHA Instructor Credentials, I feel this should only be done once, not every class. Besides, I had to have a sign in and password before I could start. I didn't have to develop a new one for all three classes I took as a Bridge Over. With my account I feel the information should be saved to my account so it ... does not take as long to complete the requirements for the Bridge Over

American Red Cross Certs
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Marshall B5 years agoI currently got my emergency medical response instructor certification, and it was super easy to do so! I love ARC, and I’m glad I’m apart of the ARC community and get to keep up on my training and train. If it wasn’t for ARC, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish all the things I love to do!

Glad I took the class, ready to instruct
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Koontzie4 weeks agoKallee did an excellent job reviewing information and guiding us as needed. She made sure we are setup to go out and instruct with success. Instructor class over all very good and knowledgeable. I don’t know if it’s just me or the amount of emails or their message, but I felt it was a test, but it is more a workshop and assessment. Review materials, but not necessary to memorize.

Roberto was a fantastic instructor—engaging, knowledgeable, and made the learning experience enjoyable and memorable. I genuinely appreciated the hands-on practice and the clarity of instruction. I feel much more confident in my ability to respond in an emergency and teach others. Highly recommend this training to anyone looking to be prepared

Video, books easy to understand
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.WfrSteve1 year agoThe course is self paced on the computer which is nice for working adults. For me course was easy. I've been a Wilderness First Responder. WFR for 32 years. EMT for 9.5 years The ability to bridge is great for people who have knowledge, experience with wilderness medicine. The Red Cross needs to update out dated techniques.

W&RFA instructor - It taught me a lot
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.Chiago3 years agoThe course got me my instructor certificate. Online learning is not the best mode for me personally. I did learn a lot and the course made me aware that I need more study. There's way more that I need to know than can be covered in such a course. So, part of it is an inspiration to regularly review the class materials.
