Great Refresher Course

This class was so informative and helped me understand ways I can help out in a challenging situation. After taking this class, I am not an expert but I am not in the dark about what to do until help arrives. I need to review it again, as to be expected, and would like supplemental materials to reinforce the class.

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Jack131 year agoI signed up for this Class because I have been a Professional Dog Trainer for 40 years, and even though I never experienced a true emergency with any dog while training, I always wanted to be ready for any potential concern. This course online gave me the training and tools I needed to be ready for any potential medical problem. Likewise, my wife does Dog Sitting, and we do get puppies, as well as older dogs, that again, may have some health concerns. This course will help us stabilize the dog ... while we take it to the Veterinarian's office, if needed.

It was a rather fast course and had a lot of useful and interesting information. Note: The survey requires me to rate the instructor, but there was no instructor - the course was pre-recorded online.

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Tini Bomb12 months agoMy husband was diagnosed with 3 blockages and needs a mitral valve replacement. We have just under three weeks to wait for the date of surgery so I decided I needed to learn CPR! DUH!!! I Googled where to learn CPR and The Red Cross site populated. I signed up for the course which is very affordable. The 90 minutes goes by quickly and I liked how you could start and stop where you were. I also reversed to hear the information again. Everything about this class was very helpful. I’m very ... relieved to have had the proper training I highly recommend taking this course.

10/10 recommended for non-first timers
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Puffthemagicdragon2 weeks agoThe online version was well made, and great for those of us who have taken CPR/First Aid before, but needed a review/update. A couple of (minor) suggestions to add: the tourniquet training was great, but forgot the part about writing or noting the time the tourniquet was applied, which is important information for the medics. As well, I do wish the CPR section had some brief info on how to do CPR on a suspected spinal/head injury. I would absolutely recommend this class for those who have done ... it before, but perhaps not for first timers, as I think it would benefit the learner to be able to ask an instructor questions and get a feel hands-on. A lot of time went into this making this course, and it shows!

Anyone can pass this certification!

Did the entire course in 1 sitting, and felt liberated by now knowing I won't be helpless in situations like this. The cert lasts for 2 years as well, so when I'm ready to renew, I'll be coming back soon. If you're on the fence, I'd say to spend that extra 3 hours to one day save a life.
