The only thing some children want this holiday season is to be reunited with their families.

For nearly 150 years the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network has brought families separated by conflict or natural disaster back together again. We are currently looking for 100,000+ missing persons worldwide—the largest caseload in 15 years.

The American Red Cross works alongside our vast network to search for and reconnect loved ones separated by international crises. Our Restoring Family Links (RFL) services are free and confidential.

The American Red Cross helps reconnect loved ones when:

Families are separated internationally as a result of conflict, disaster, migration or other humanitarian emergency.
Families have already tried normal channels of communication to reconnect.
The family member making the inquiry is able to provide essential information on the sought person.
The family member making the inquiry is a relative who had been in direct contact with the sought person before the crisis occurred.
