Welcome to the American Red Cross Cause Marketing Resources page. Since our founding in 1881, the Red Cross has partnered with thousands of companies to create unique and compelling partnerships that drive business and raise valuable funds for the mission.
If you have any questions or need additional materials, please contact your Red Cross relationship manager.
The Red Cross has template collateral designed to help make your fundraising campaign as turnkey as possible, to include posters/flyers, at-register scannable card, banner, hanging icon and sticker/pin artwork. Materials can be co-branded with your company’s logo and are readily printable by your company’s stores or offices. Please work with your Red Cross relationship manager to develop customized versions of these files.
The Red Cross has a customizable online donation platform where we can create a custom microsite to collect donations from customers or employees. With the microsite platform, donations are made directly to the Red Cross, but easily tracked and credited to your company. Please click here to learn more about those resources.
The Red Cross requires that all of our corporate partners sign an agreement before a cause marketing partnership is launched. Your Red Cross relationship manager will provide a draft agreement that can be updated with the program and partnership terms. In a steady-state, the Red Cross requires corporate partners to commit to specified amounts based on the scope and duration of the cause marketing program. During times of disaster, the Red Cross waives our minimum contribution requirements for corporate partnerships.
The Red Cross must review and approve all creative and press materials that include the Red Cross name and/or mark. To expedite the approval process, we’ve developed template fundraising materials that can be co-branded with your logo. If your company is developing custom creative using our brand, including consumer-facing in-store, online, social media or other marketing collateral pieces, please refer to our requirements and brand standards below and allow a minimum of 24 hours for review/approval of all materials during disasters. We strongly encourage our partners to review the required disclosure language and brand standards below as it will expedite the approval process.
The most effective campaigns are those that are integrated into your company’s marketing channels.
At the end of your campaign, please update your Red Cross relationship manager with campaign results and discuss “thank you” resources that may be available for you to share with your customers and employees.
