Created for caregivers by caregivers, the Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN) is your gateway to connecting with individuals from all walks of life united by their duties to care for their military and veteran family members.
Connect with caregivers through the nation’s leading military and veteran peer-support network for a secure and customized experience.
Receive practical insights and valuable advice from caregivers who’ve been there before. MVCN offers group and 1-1 mentoring using evidence-based peer support models.
“Being part of this reminded me that I spent so much time caring for this one person, I forgot to make friends.” - Betty Towler, veteran, mother of three and military caregiver joined MVCN following her husband’s injury while deployed in Iraq.
* While the Red Cross is committed to supporting all caregivers, regardless of age, familial status, injury, or other circumstances, we cannot at this time support paid caregivers or those who receive compensation for their caretaking duties
MVCN aims to decrease feelings of isolation while increasing connection, hope and wellbeing through peer-support, mentoring and education.
Online peer moderators and the Hero Care Resource directory, a self-service tool, ensure individuals have access to critical information and make informed decisions regarding their wellbeing and the wellbeing of the loved ones in their care.
With regularly scheduled peer-support groups available, caregivers can connect with, listen to, share with and learn from diverse caregivers at all stages of their caregiver journey both online and in-person.
Caregivers can receive practical insights and relevant advice from people who’ve been there before. MVCN offers group and 1-1 mentoring using evidence-based peer support models.
Visit the MVCN calendar to register for both virtual and in-person upcoming events!
