Created for caregivers by caregivers, the Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN) is your gateway to connect with caregivers from all eras, all relationships and all locations united in caring for someone who serves or served in the military.
Connect with caregivers through the nation’s leading military and veteran peer-support network for a secure and customized experience.
Receive practical insights and valuable advice from caregivers who’ve been there before. MVCN offers group and 1-1 mentoring using evidence-based peer support models.
If you would like to join our network, please complete this form.
You will receive an email requesting vetting information for your role as a caregiver to a military member or veteran.
Thank you for your interest in participating!
“Being part of this reminded me that I spent so much time caring for this one person, I forgot to make friends.” - Betty Towler, veteran, mother of three and military caregiver joined MVCN following her husband’s injury while deployed in Iraq.
MVCN aims to decrease feelings of isolation while increasing connection, hope and wellbeing through peer-support, self-care practices and education. Caregivers: Your Life and Your Health Matters workshops are offered to guide caregivers on their whole health journey.
A custom online community serves as a hub for educational content and resources meaningful to caregivers. Caregivers can be trained in three types of peer support, building skills and support. The Hero Care Resource Directory—a self-service tool—ensures that caregivers have access to local resources and support to promote their own wellbeing and that of those they care for.
With regularly scheduled peer-support groups available, caregivers can connect with, listen to, share with, and learn from diverse caregivers at all stages of their caregiver journey. Led by trained caregiver facilitators, our peer support groups foster a supportive and understanding environment.
Caregivers can receive practical insights and relevant support from people who have shared lived experiences. MVCN offers group and 1-1 mentoring, using evidence-based peer support models and trained caregiver mentors.
Visit the MVCN calendar to register for both virtual and in-person upcoming events!
