Through digital platforms, Red Cross LA launched several initiatives with the understanding that our work cannot stop even if the pandemic is forcing to stay at home. We launched an interactive series, Facebook Live and Community Conversation, connecting those at home with the work of the Red Cross and its community partners.
In addition, COVID-19 Continuity of Operations workshops were offered to help nonprofit learn how to provide services safely and in compliance with public health directives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Virtual classes and self-guided tools were offered as part of the Red Cross PrepareSoCal campaign, which is designed to make every household ready for disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes and home fires. More than 3,500 Angelenos were prepared via the Be Red Cross Ready virtual class.
