Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

First Aid/AED/CPR course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars. One Eye Dog3 years agoMy husband and I recently attended the above course given by the Red Cross in St Petersburg, FL. Our instructor was terrific, articulate and extremely knowledgeable. He shared the information quickly in a manner that made time fly. Our day began at 9:00 am and ended at 3:00 p.m. including a lunch break. We had our certificates of completion before we even made it home! We also live on a power catamaran and cruise full time. Having the appropriate first aid tools are vital. We knew most ... of the information, but learned better techniques on how to apply our knowledge.

Awesome Instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.A aron 753 years agoI attended the Skills Session on January 24th in Minneapolis. The instructor was phenomenal! He went above and beyond just the skills and explained in detail WHY things are done the way they are. It was also helpful that he had real-world experience in the medical field and has been emergency situations. I was required to attend this training for my job and was not enthused about going, however, it turned out to be extremely interesting and I would recommend this training to anyone!

Very knowledgeable instructor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Spider4 years agoAt the start of class I was a little frustrated as the instructor was late. She was caught up in an accident and I’m very understanding and let that go. There was a few women that came together with a toddler. It was very distracting. The instructor handled the situation in a professional manner and made every one happy. She definitely had obstacles in her way but was able to teach thoroughly and quickly to get us out on time. Life happens…when it does it’s how we react that makes the difference ... and she did a great job!

Insightful and practical training
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.PhilipR564 years agoI learned a lot from this training. I hope that I am not required to use the training but I feel confident that if the need arises I am much better prepared than I was to help. I discovered that I didn't know the basics for example when to and when not to use CPR. I found the Check Call Care approach logical and I am sure it has saved lives. And the SAMPLE checklist is very helpful. There is a lot to remember from this short course. Our instructor was wonderful - patient and professional.

Great foundation to understand the techniques
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.ACSK856 years agoI found the pre-work online portion to be very useful. It was detailed, interactive and really taught the techniques well. Once we got in person, it made the hands on portion much easier and solidified the knowledge well. My only negative about the course was that, while the instructor was good, he had an incredibly strong accent that made it difficult to understand a lot of what was being talked about. If I hadn't done the pre-work, I would not have understood much.

Great Class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Bjmyangel6 years agoClassroom portion was a combined class for Adult CPR/AED, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, as well as Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Each participant was released at the end of their specific class if they did not take the full Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid class. The instructor was very good, gave clear instruction, and had a great personality. That sure makes classroom time go quickly! The online portion was quick and well done.

Physical practice was so valuable.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Brow3 weeks agoThe repeated practice of each step was very valuable and will be remembered. I would recommend that the time spent on putting the AED back in its package was a waste. Why not have the next person begin while the previous person put it back together? We went over by 30 minutes.

Time flew by
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Anairam3 weeks agoThis was such a great class! The instructor was personable and patient, which makes everything so much easier. The material was simple enough to learn and remember, but detailed enough to where I felt I learned so much from the class. I would definitely recommend this class to my friends, family and work colleagues!

Everyone needs this training.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Franco1 month agoThe virtual class was clear, convenient, and easy to follow, laying a great foundation before the in-person session. The hands-on training was engaging and really helped build my confidence with CPR and using an AED. The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure we all felt prepared. I highly recommend this training to anyone looking to be ready in an emergency!

AMAZING instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Jaklyn1 week agoThis was my fouth time getting my CPR/AED certification through Red Cross. Two were fully online, and two were blended (online and in person). This most previous blended training was the best experience I have had so far. I would highly recommend this option to anyone. I able to comprehend the modules at my own pace. Then, I went in person, and our instructor went through each module briefly and I was able to ask questions. The real-life situation of practicing CPR and using the AED on a ... test-dummy was extremely beneficial. Finally, the instructor I had was so faboulous. She answered all of our questions honestly and tied in her own personal experiences in EMS. She paid attention to each person in the training--especially when doing the hands on practice. I left this training feeling the most confident in actually being able to save someones life.
