Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Learning to Save a Life
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.CancerWarrior3 years agoWhile you hope you never need it, CPR/AED training is insurance just in case the need arises. Melanie was the instructor for our class and made 3 hours vanish it went by so quickly! She talked to us not at us, asked questions about our experience and why we wanted to learn. She helped those who might not grasp the concept as quickly, but was always helpful and supportive! She is friendly and knowledgeable about what she teaches and enjoys the personal interaction with her students. She is most ... definitely in the right place doing the right job!

Great learning experience!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.CoachChelsea4 years agoFor a very easy to understand and engaging way to gain CPR/AED skills, I would recommend the Red Cross class I just took. The online components were not just boring videos but repetitive practice of the most important skills when providing assistance in an emergency. The in-person skills practice followed all the safe practices for covid prevention while still allowing for real practice of skills using dummies and tools like the practice AED. I left feeling confident that I can provide quality ... care in the event of an emergency!

Received immediate CPR certificate after class!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Kcatt4 weeks agoI took the Adult CPR/AED in person class and we did hands on learning of CPR, AED, and choking rescue. Teacher was very nice, patient, and friendly. I like how she spoke loud and clear. My class was about 2 hours long. I received an electronic certificate via email immediately after the class. I really appreciate the immediate certification after class because it helped me finish applying that evening for a job that required CPR certification. Thank you for the great customer service.

Great Class!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.emiillyyy3 years agoI honestly really enjoyed this class and the instructor. We were shown what to do and got multiple times to practice to make sure we were doing it correctly. I thought I would be intimated because this was something I was kind of nervous about doing, but it was fun! I would definitely take this class here in the future again. One thing though: the class may go on longer than expected. I would suggest not making a tight schedule, allow a half-hour more than expected. Otherwise great!

Great experience!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Caroline223 years agoHe did a great job teaching and did a thorough description of the steps. He didn’t rush through the practice and made sure everyone knew what they were doing before moving on. Although, maybe consider using less videos and more hands-on work.

should be required for everyone
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.adf811 month agoI found the class extremely helpful, and I'm better prepared to care for my family, anyone who may need emergency assistance. I would not recommend the teacher however. As a professor I found her extremely condescending and not welcoming to questions - when I did ask questions I felt belittled or as though my questions were dumb to her and then she would often comment on how 'quiet' the class is in a condescending way as though we are all children. She didn't create an inclusive environment at ... all and I felt uncomfortable saying/asking anything by the end of the session

i took the adult and pediatric first aid/Cpr/aed-r.21 training course on April 2, 2025 on the campus of Texas Health Science University. This training course is excellent one. I got systematic knowledge about CPR and had hand on practice on the emergency techniques as well. It impressed me a lot! Thanks!

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Just what I needed
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.QIZU3 years agoI'm required to stay up-to-date on certification in AED/CPR/FA for my job, and since my job wasn't allowed to do our normal in-person trainings this year due to COVID, we were all on our own. The online class followed by the 1-year provisional in-person class ended up being perfect for me. Everything I needed to review was covered, and in a way I could easily understand. The instructor for the in-person class was a little cranky at first, but it was early in the morning, so no judgement. He ... ended up covering everything we needed to know very professionally once we actually got started.
