Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Great foundation to understand the techniques
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.ACSK856 years agoI found the pre-work online portion to be very useful. It was detailed, interactive and really taught the techniques well. Once we got in person, it made the hands on portion much easier and solidified the knowledge well. My only negative about the course was that, while the instructor was good, he had an incredibly strong accent that made it difficult to understand a lot of what was being talked about. If I hadn't done the pre-work, I would not have understood much.

By far the most memorable training!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Hadrey5 years agoI’ve had to keep up CPR training for several years for work, but this was my first time using Red Cross - and I will never use a different source for training now! The online course was so repetitive, while placing you in many different realistic scenarios - and the interactive course trainer was so personable and made sure all students were worked with individually. This has been the first course that I feel remarkably confident that I can remember every vital step in an emergency scenario!

Awesome instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Musavelutina2 weeks agoI took this training in order to fulfill a requirement for a special needs camp I'm attending. Our instructor, Syri, did a GREAT job. She demonstrated knowledge of the subject while still making the class fun and engaging. The tools used in the hands-on practice session worked well.

Great learning experience!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.CoachChelsea4 years agoFor a very easy to understand and engaging way to gain CPR/AED skills, I would recommend the Red Cross class I just took. The online components were not just boring videos but repetitive practice of the most important skills when providing assistance in an emergency. The in-person skills practice followed all the safe practices for covid prevention while still allowing for real practice of skills using dummies and tools like the practice AED. I left feeling confident that I can provide quality ... care in the event of an emergency!

Very knowledgeable instructor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Spider4 years agoAt the start of class I was a little frustrated as the instructor was late. She was caught up in an accident and I’m very understanding and let that go. There was a few women that came together with a toddler. It was very distracting. The instructor handled the situation in a professional manner and made every one happy. She definitely had obstacles in her way but was able to teach thoroughly and quickly to get us out on time. Life happens…when it does it’s how we react that makes the difference ... and she did a great job!

Just what I needed
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.QIZU3 years agoI'm required to stay up-to-date on certification in AED/CPR/FA for my job, and since my job wasn't allowed to do our normal in-person trainings this year due to COVID, we were all on our own. The online class followed by the 1-year provisional in-person class ended up being perfect for me. Everything I needed to review was covered, and in a way I could easily understand. The instructor for the in-person class was a little cranky at first, but it was early in the morning, so no judgement. He ... ended up covering everything we needed to know very professionally once we actually got started.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Great class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.JimDandy0075 days agoThe class was easy to comprehend and retain the material. I enjoyed the instructor’s no nonsense but we’re going to get through this approach. I have taken CPR classes in the past as a medic and this was by far one of the best ways to learn material I have come across. As it has been over two decades since my last CPR certification. However, I had an earlier class canceled at the last minute. It cost me two weeks of pay as I could not start before the pay period at my new job. I would just ... recommend in the future cancellations, give those individuals priority to get in a class ASAP. I had to wait an additional week almost and there were financial repercussions I encountered.

Preparedness Through Practical Emergency Training
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Rescue Basics4 weeks agoI am confident in the practical training I received on CPR, first aid, and AED. The training was delivered in a clear and accessible manner, making it easy for individuals from all backgrounds to understand. This is essential knowledge that everyone should have. Given the unpredictable and fragile nature of the world we live in, being prepared to assist others—or ourselves—in an emergency is invaluable. This training provides that critical readiness

CPR for adults, pediatrics worth the time
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Koze2 weeks agoGood material for the general public. The amount of time devoted was appropriate. Instructor knew his material. A bit more practice time on the mannequins would have been good. Projector bulb needs to be Replaced. Screen was hard to say. Facility was very nice at the Douglasville Blood center. We feel more prepared for our new grandchild. More people should take this class.
