Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Great Class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Bjmyangel6 years agoClassroom portion was a combined class for Adult CPR/AED, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, as well as Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Each participant was released at the end of their specific class if they did not take the full Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid class. The instructor was very good, gave clear instruction, and had a great personality. That sure makes classroom time go quickly! The online portion was quick and well done.

Efficient and Engaging
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Alana4414 years agoThe adult and pediatric CPR/AED-BL course was a great experience. The interactive and informative online portion that I completed made me more comfortable and confident with the necessary information prior to attending the in person session. The instructor was extremely educated on the topic and answered all questions we had. Her humor and questions made the course more engaging than a typical CPR course. The CPR mouth covering keychain we received at the end was also a plus that I appreciated, ... especially during a pandemic.

Very Helpful Course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.rmw623 years agoI needed to take an Infant and Child CPR course for a new job. The course offered by the American Red Cross is straightforward with a lot of opportunity to practice and get feedback. The instructor was knowledgable, friendly and helpful.

First Aid/AED/CPR course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars. One Eye Dog3 years agoMy husband and I recently attended the above course given by the Red Cross in St Petersburg, FL. Our instructor was terrific, articulate and extremely knowledgeable. He shared the information quickly in a manner that made time fly. Our day began at 9:00 am and ended at 3:00 p.m. including a lunch break. We had our certificates of completion before we even made it home! We also live on a power catamaran and cruise full time. Having the appropriate first aid tools are vital. We knew most ... of the information, but learned better techniques on how to apply our knowledge.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Learning to Save a Life
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.CancerWarrior4 years agoWhile you hope you never need it, CPR/AED training is insurance just in case the need arises. Melanie was the instructor for our class and made 3 hours vanish it went by so quickly! She talked to us not at us, asked questions about our experience and why we wanted to learn. She helped those who might not grasp the concept as quickly, but was always helpful and supportive! She is friendly and knowledgeable about what she teaches and enjoys the personal interaction with her students. She is most ... definitely in the right place doing the right job!

Heavy Perfume Use Spoiled a Good Class
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.AGAG3 weeks agoThe class was informative and I learned a lot. However, there was an unfortunate issue with use of heavy perfume by some participants that irritated my sinuses. The room was poorly ventilated and I was not allowed to sit by the door because I would not be able to see the videos from there. Can Red Cross suggest to participants to refrain from using fragrance in consideration of the respiratory health of the other participants?

Time flew by
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Anairam3 weeks agoThis was such a great class! The instructor was personable and patient, which makes everything so much easier. The material was simple enough to learn and remember, but detailed enough to where I felt I learned so much from the class. I would definitely recommend this class to my friends, family and work colleagues!

Great class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.JimDandy0072 weeks agoThe class was easy to comprehend and retain the material. I enjoyed the instructor’s no nonsense but we’re going to get through this approach. I have taken CPR classes in the past as a medic and this was by far one of the best ways to learn material I have come across. As it has been over two decades since my last CPR certification. However, I had an earlier class canceled at the last minute. It cost me two weeks of pay as I could not start before the pay period at my new job. I would just ... recommend in the future cancellations, give those individuals priority to get in a class ASAP. I had to wait an additional week almost and there were financial repercussions I encountered.

Excellent!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Reginamarie2 weeks agoThis course is very well done. The online access is great plus I can revisit and get a refresher anytime. The in-person portion was exactly what I needed. Just enough hands-on instruction to get a feel for how to actually perform CPR and utilize the AED. While I hope to never have to use it, I’m thankful for this skill. Also, my instructor Homer made class a great experience!
