Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Excellent instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.TaylorK2 weeks agoThe class was very thorough. I've taken this course multiple times as I've been an early childhood educator for 20 years and the instructor was hands down the most relatable, enjoyable, easy to follow instructor I've ever had. The class was enjoyable I felt like I learned a lot he was very respectful when answering questions people had and he was thorough to make sure that everybody had a full understanding of what they needed to do and went. I've probably taken this course 15 times minimum and ... he's definitely been the best instructor I've ever had. He is a credit to your establishment.

Heavy Perfume Use Spoiled a Good Class
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.AGAG3 days agoThe class was informative and I learned a lot. However, there was an unfortunate issue with use of heavy perfume by some participants that irritated my sinuses. The room was poorly ventilated and I was not allowed to sit by the door because I would not be able to see the videos from there. Can Red Cross suggest to participants to refrain from using fragrance in consideration of the respiratory health of the other participants?

Everyone needs this training.
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Franco3 weeks agoThe virtual class was clear, convenient, and easy to follow, laying a great foundation before the in-person session. The hands-on training was engaging and really helped build my confidence with CPR and using an AED. The instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure we all felt prepared. I highly recommend this training to anyone looking to be ready in an emergency!

manageable
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.teachermom5 years agoI greatly appreciate the ability to do a large portion of the class online. With 4 kids and a very busy schedule, this made taking the class much more manageable and easier to fit into my family's schedule. The online portion was also extremely helpful with the way it was laid out and how you were made to do the steps several times to pass. Very hands on for an online course. The in-class teacher was also extremely personable and put any anxieties I had about doing things correctly at ... ease. I left with the confidence that I could do this if I needed to and I would know what to do. Thank you!

Great Class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Bjmyangel6 years agoClassroom portion was a combined class for Adult CPR/AED, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, as well as Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Each participant was released at the end of their specific class if they did not take the full Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid class. The instructor was very good, gave clear instruction, and had a great personality. That sure makes classroom time go quickly! The online portion was quick and well done.

Awesome instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Musavelutina4 days agoI took this training in order to fulfill a requirement for a special needs camp I'm attending. Our instructor, Syri, did a GREAT job. She demonstrated knowledge of the subject while still making the class fun and engaging. The tools used in the hands-on practice session worked well.

Exceptional experience
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.AnneY4 years agoI took the class as a requirement for my CPT. The instructor was amazing. She knew how to teach all the aspects and made it easy to understand. Very friendly and professional. If I have to take any more classes, I hope that I have the same instructor. The content itself, was easy to understand and learn. The videos were very informative. Once I completed the class, my certification was sent to my email so I could print it out for what I needed.

Insightful and practical training
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.PhilipR564 years agoI learned a lot from this training. I hope that I am not required to use the training but I feel confident that if the need arises I am much better prepared than I was to help. I discovered that I didn't know the basics for example when to and when not to use CPR. I found the Check Call Care approach logical and I am sure it has saved lives. And the SAMPLE checklist is very helpful. There is a lot to remember from this short course. Our instructor was wonderful - patient and professional.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

First Aid/AED/CPR course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars. One Eye Dog3 years agoMy husband and I recently attended the above course given by the Red Cross in St Petersburg, FL. Our instructor was terrific, articulate and extremely knowledgeable. He shared the information quickly in a manner that made time fly. Our day began at 9:00 am and ended at 3:00 p.m. including a lunch break. We had our certificates of completion before we even made it home! We also live on a power catamaran and cruise full time. Having the appropriate first aid tools are vital. We knew most ... of the information, but learned better techniques on how to apply our knowledge.
