Our in-person courses are perfect for those who prefer a traditional learning environment, offering the time to learn, ask questions and view in-person demonstrations. The total time commitment for our in-person lifeguarding class is 25 hours and 20 minutes.
The Red Cross blended learning Lifeguarding Classes in Los Angeles combine the traditional classroom environment along with online learning options. Our blended learning classes combines both in-person and online coursework for a total time commitment of 19 hours and 30 minutes in-person and 7 hours and 30 minutes of online work.
We feature three courses during Lifeguard training in Los Angeles: Lifeguarding, Shallow Water Lifeguarding (water up to 5 feet deep) and Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding (water up to 3 feet deep). A two year certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is issued upon successful completion of our training and coursework. A digital certification is available upon completion.
The American Red Cross Lifeguard Manual was created to assist you in your Los Angeles Lifeguard training while also answering all of your questions, from basic water safety to how to best respond in an emergency situation. The Red Cross Lifeguarding Manual is available in both a digital format as well as a traditional printed version.
Our lifeguard testing not only examines your comprehension of the written lifeguarding requirements but also evaluates your knowledge of valuable and crucial hands-on skills as well as proper procedure and lifeguarding protocol.
