Lifetone Bed Shaker Alarms Recall
The American Red Cross was recently notified by the manufacturer of a particular model of bed shaker alarms, the “Lifetone Model HLAC151,” that a specific batch of these alarms is being voluntarily recalled.
The HLAC151 bed shaker alarms (pictured below) are manufactured by Lifetone Technology, Inc. and were installed free of charge by the American Red Cross and its partners for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
This recall involves Lifetone HLAC151 Bedside Fire Alarm and Clock with serial numbers ranging from AC160600001 through AC160604102 and AC170100001 through AC170106030 only. The serial number can be found on a silver sticker located on the bottom of the device. Click on the “How to find the serial number” button below to see a sample sticker.
People who have alarms in the defective serial number range can contact the manufacturer, Lifetone Technologies, Inc., to request an exchange at 800-648-7923 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or online at www.lifetonesafety.com and click on the Product Safety tab for more information.
