Mindful Movement is a flexible, 45-minute wellness workshop that teaches simple movement-based mindfulness and relaxation techniques to services members and their families. Designed for large groups and adaptable to many settings, the workshop is tailored for both individuals and families and can be led by mental health professionals or trained Red Cross volunteers.

After a successful pilot on U.S. military installations overseas, the Red Cross is thrilled to offer Mindful Movement Workshops to military communities in the continental U.S. Watch the video to learn more about this exciting offering and how you can get involved!
Through simple breathing techniques, gentle stretching and light physical activity, participants practice skills that help calm the body, turn off the stress response and return to a more relaxed state. This workshop is best suited for adults over the age of 18.
Derived from Mindful Movement with Individuals, Mindful Movement with Families is designed for youth under the age of 18 and their parents. Participants practice fun and easy-to-do breathing techniques, stretches and gentle movements that will help them calm their bodies, turn off the stress response and relax.
