Performing First Aid
At the Red Cross, first aid training prepares you to provide care to children, adults, and pets during times of crisis. However, like many things, if you don't use your skills frequently, they're easy to forget. That's why, when you take our first aid certification classes, you'll also receive free online access to our first aid refreshers and a printable list of the basic steps for performing first aid. This way, you can practice your skills regularly, and keep reminders in the places you might need them most, like in the first aid kit in your car, home, or desk.

Love the Blended Learning option!

What I needed refreshers on was easily explained via the online portion but the skills in person portion was the best part. The instructor gave awesome scenarios of potential situations to assist participants not only skill building, but also how we may react quickly in a real situation. Highly recommend this course and the instructor!

I have previously been a CPR instructor and been CPR certified and I believe this is the most entertaining and informative class I have ever taken through the Red Cross. I also appreciate how much safety was emphasised during the class as we are still in a pandemic. The fact that the ARC as a whole and the instructor individually were clear about taking that seriously is something that I am very grateful for. It ... was a very good experience over all.

Great Red Cross Training
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.JBVJ4 weeks agoThe enrollment process was facilitating and the person who handled my change in schedule was extremely helpful and professional. The online portion of the training was well done. The presentations were sequential, informative, and comprehensive. I appreciated the features of unlimited time, pre-testing, and review. Our in-person trainer was competent, on task, and humorous. She summarized procedures succinctly and offered practically recommendations. She made the class fun.

Quality instruction and great opportunity to practice skills while being evaluated by a professional. I like that the class has been divided into online and in-person sections now. It's much easier to fit into busy schedules this way and it's more enjoyable to do the knowledge section at your own pace. I also like the preassessment questions that allow for testing out of portions of the test--much appreciated for people who recertify often!

Nice and informative
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.MNPerson2 weeks agoSuper helpful and enjoyed the class. The only thing is that these classes can run long (past the scheduled time) so it is tough when you have meetings afterwards and need to rush to work. I know it is tough to stay on schedule and many of the people didn’t stay because they did not complete the online portion.

First Aid/AED/CPR course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.One Eye Dog3 years agoMy husband and I recently attended the above course given by the Red Cross in St Petersburg, FL. Our instructor was terrific, articulate and extremely knowledgeable. He shared the information quickly in a manner that made time fly. Our day began at 9:00 am and ended at 3:00 p.m. including a lunch break. We had our certificates of completion before we even made it home! We also live on a power catamaran and cruise full time. Having the appropriate first aid tools are vital. We knew most ... of the information, but learned better techniques on how to apply our knowledge.

Awesome Instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.A aron 753 years agoI attended the Skills Session on January 24th in Minneapolis. The instructor was phenomenal! He went above and beyond just the skills and explained in detail WHY things are done the way they are. It was also helpful that he had real-world experience in the medical field and has been emergency situations. I was required to attend this training for my job and was not enthused about going, however, it turned out to be extremely interesting and I would recommend this training to anyone!

Gerald made the class engaging and allowed time for the other professionals in my course to network and share our experiences and knowledge with one another. It was the first time it did not feel like a long day.
