Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Great experience
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.DarlinKitty553 years agoI had no clue what to experience. The instructor was professional, gloves, masks and hand sanitizer were provided as well as individual dummies for everyone enrolled. I was only there for the CPR/AED session, so I didn't get to experience the First Aid course, but the experience was great. It kept my attention, the slides and videos were quick and engaging. I really liked the hands-on portion. I will definitely take this course again in 2 years and look forward to it.

Very knowledgeable instructor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Spider4 years agoAt the start of class I was a little frustrated as the instructor was late. She was caught up in an accident and I’m very understanding and let that go. There was a few women that came together with a toddler. It was very distracting. The instructor handled the situation in a professional manner and made every one happy. She definitely had obstacles in her way but was able to teach thoroughly and quickly to get us out on time. Life happens…when it does it’s how we react that makes the difference ... and she did a great job!

Great foundation to understand the techniques
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.ACSK856 years agoI found the pre-work online portion to be very useful. It was detailed, interactive and really taught the techniques well. Once we got in person, it made the hands on portion much easier and solidified the knowledge well. My only negative about the course was that, while the instructor was good, he had an incredibly strong accent that made it difficult to understand a lot of what was being talked about. If I hadn't done the pre-work, I would not have understood much.

Instructor and Training Were Great!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.StephRiv4 years agoI didn't know what to expect when I signed up for this course because of how Covid has really changed the way we do almost everything. So I was worried it would be more video instruction and not so much hands on. I actually really ended up loving the video modules followed by the in class instruction. Our instructor was very articulate in explaining the CPR and AED procedure. And, yes, you do get to practice with a "dummy". I think that the instructor made something that can be mundane an ... enjoyable and memorable experience.

Worthwhile Course
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Valen4 days agoThe instructor was clearly had a breadth of experience both in the field and in teaching the course, as he knew how to identify and correct for common mistakes right away. I felt confident once I left the class that I'd be able to use what I'd learned in a real-world setting.

Concise and Thorough
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Amf224 days agoTom's in-person skills training was concise but very thorough. He demonstrated the proper techniques, and everyone had their own mannequin on which to practice. He shared great tips and real-life situations in which these skills would be applicable. Tom covered CPR, AED, and first aid.

Great experience!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Caroline223 years agoHe did a great job teaching and did a thorough description of the steps. He didn’t rush through the practice and made sure everyone knew what they were doing before moving on. Although, maybe consider using less videos and more hands-on work.

Fantastic instructor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.emilz4 days agoAdam was an incredible instructor. I was recertifying and was not expecting to learn much new information but the way he taught was very eye opening. He focused a lot on best practices for the rescuer as well as the patient, and psychological first aid. One of the best classes I’ve taken so far.

Leaving the class with more knowledge
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Terry C5 days agoI recently took a CPR course and honestly, I'm so glad I did! I went in thinking it would just be a refresher of what I already knew, but I ended up learning so much more than I expected. The instructor was fantastic- super engaging, knowledgeable, it made everyone feel comfortable asking questions. What really stood out to me was how the teacher introduced some new information and updated guidelines that I wasn't aware of before. They explained everything clearly, with real-life examples that ... helped it all make sense. I left a class feeling much more confident in my ability to respond in an emergency situation. I would highly recommend this course to anyone- whether it's your first time or you're just renewing your certification. You'll definitely walk away with valuable, possibly life-saving knowledge.

Great training and presentation!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.LindaMeigs4 days agoMy husband and I were very pleased with the training we received from Dr. Don. He treated everyone with personal and respectful attention, and he presented the information in a knowledgeable manner while including moments of humor. He guided us through the presentation, then followed up with the hands-on training. We registered for this course because we’re now in our 70s and want to be alert, aware, and confident to apply what we learned in our lives. We recommend this course and this ... instructor whole-heartedly.
