Knowledgeable, understanding and able to deliver information suited to a wide range of learning styles, American Red Cross first aid instructors will help ensure that you not only understand the steps for performing first aid, but that you have the confidence and skills necessary to perform them correctly.

Performing First Aid
At the Red Cross, first aid training prepares you to provide care to children, adults, and pets during times of crisis. However, like many things, if you don't use your skills frequently, they're easy to forget. That's why, when you take our first aid certification classes, you'll also receive free online access to our first aid refreshers and a printable list of the basic steps for performing first aid. This way, you can practice your skills regularly, and keep reminders in the places you might need them most, like in the first aid kit in your car, home, or desk.

I attended the Adult First Aid/CPR/AED-BL-r.21 class in June and it was a great re-certification experience. Siri was a great instructor and she kept the class lively and interesting. The class runs long (it has for all 3 of my re-certifications) so plan for an extra 15-30 minutes depending on questions.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Just what I needed
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.QIZU4 years agoI'm required to stay up-to-date on certification in AED/CPR/FA for my job, and since my job wasn't allowed to do our normal in-person trainings this year due to COVID, we were all on our own. The online class followed by the 1-year provisional in-person class ended up being perfect for me. Everything I needed to review was covered, and in a way I could easily understand. The instructor for the in-person class was a little cranky at first, but it was early in the morning, so no judgement. He ... ended up covering everything we needed to know very professionally once we actually got started.

Excellent instructor
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Lasher35 years agoI have taken this course a total of 15 times in my 30-year career as an early childhood educator. Gerald made the class engaging and allowed time for the other professionals in my course to network and share our experiences and knowledge with one another. It was the first time it did not feel like a long day.

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Ebbs982 months agoI honestly was very nervous going into this class. I never thought that I would pass but here we are with my first aid certification/CPR/AED. The instructor did an incredible job, not only teaching, but guiding us with the tools in the skills that we Will need in the future. This makes me want to sign up for even more classes to get even more skills and certifications. Thank you to the instructor and all the other instructors. We appreciate you guys.

Highly reccommend
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.MNlakesgirl892 weeks agoI was very happy to do a hybrid class. This is the 5th time that I've certified for First Aid / CPR/ AED for adults and pediatrics, including certifying as a lifeguard twice. Needless to say, I've gone over the material many times previously. I was able to review, learn what has changed, and practice my rusty skills. Even with the Red Cross facility dealing with a state of emergency, by supporting nearby counties dealing with storms, we had plenty of room and time.

What an amazing instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.YankMedic1 week agoWhat an amazing class! I feel very prepared for an emergency situation, and the instructor (Yankmedic) I dont remember his name but thats his email. He was an amazing instructor, and he went over everything again and again until each member of the CPR class was confident that they could respond in an emergency. He also made the class fun and enjoyable.
