CNA Classes in Cambridge

Before you can sign up for CNA training in Cambridge, you must attend a local orientation information session, pass a reading and math assessment or present your high school diploma or GED certificate, pass a Red Cross criminal background check and complete the Red Cross physical form/TB test. In addition, you may be required to meet other criteria, which your local Red Cross CNA counselor can provide you with.
CNA classes in Cambridge are held exclusively in person and are taught by licensed, caring professional nurses. This helps ensure that you'll get the hands-on training you need to succeed as a Certified Nurse Assistant. With an emphasis on academics and performing critical functions, the Art of Caregiving and excellent communications, our CNA training in Cambridge gives you the skills – and the confidence – you'll need to begin your career. All classes are held during daytime hours and are conveniently located near transportation hubs and major thoroughfares, so they're easy to reach no matter where you live.
All of the Red Cross's Cambridge CNA classes consist of two sections: in-class training and clinical rotations. During your clinical training students will work directly with patients in a health care facility. During this time, you'll be supervised by a Licensed Nurse, who also is licensed by the State as a Nurse Assistant Training Instructor. By working side-by-side with other aides, nurses and medical professionals you'll not only understand what being a CNA is really like, but you'll learn the importance of good communication, teamwork, and providing patients with the highest level of care.
Once you've successfully passed your CNA classes in Cambridge, you will be ready to take your state licensing exam and skills test. These exams are up to you to schedule and are not typically hosted at Red Cross training facilities. Test-day requirements vary by location, but will be available to you well before your test date.
