FRX3 Rechargeable Hand Crank AM/FM/NOAA Weather ALERT Radio is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for home emergencies and camping. I bought this on impulse, since the emergency radio I had was several years old, and not always working. Then we took this along on a camping trip (primitive, no electricity). It was very handy and we used it more than we thought just to listen to the radio, and charge our phones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I have an eton weather radio I have an old eton weather radio and it still works long after the other ones I have had from radio shack all broke so I want this companies products. I need more info about this new model before I can commit to buy one. Qone Does it take AA batteries? If so how many? Why is this info not included in the add? I would love to see the jack for a head set to be in one of the protected spaces. Not out the back where it will be damaged. Also the antenna is located in a place that I think it will likely get broke. The antenna is always the first thing to go since I listen to the radio in the sleeping bag where it can be kept warm in Alaskan Winters. Also I need to know where I can see one of these in Anchorage Ak. Please let us know. These products are absolutely needed where I am at. Design them right so we do not have to buy cheaper products that cannot be trusted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Technology is good with these I feel these could use a little modifying such as using 3 rechargeable C batteries in parallel rated at a mere 1000 milli amp hours, doing so we can charge our cell phones more often next the flashlight feature, we can get more battery power going with 1 cree led maybe let us hold the button down for 3 seconds each to switch over to low medium high finally the antenna, if we are to stay with 1970s technology we could go with a mini rubberized antenna

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only flashlight work this morning if plugged in. I was excited about this product when I ordered it and wanted it for an extended RV Trip. Concerns: 1. Controls buttons are under the handle and are hard to read. 2. The button for the light is located in a position that gets bumped and the light comes on and discharges the battery. 3. The volume control needs to have an arrow to indicate directions to control volume. 4. The protective rubber over the control buttons is buckled and is no longer protective. 5. The only feature that currently works is the flashlight and that only works if I charge the unit with the USB port. 6. I have kept this in my truck and have not exposed it to harsh conditions of an emergency. It needs to be redesigned. FYI this afternoon it dried out or something all the system are working at this time. I still not sure I can trust that it will work when I need it and especially in an emergency.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Started working again. I reviewed this this morning and only the flashlight worked. Maybe it dried out or something. Functions have started to work again. I’m happy that it has started to work again, but still concerned that during an emergency it still could stop working again.
