Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Great Class!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.emiillyyy3 years agoI honestly really enjoyed this class and the instructor. We were shown what to do and got multiple times to practice to make sure we were doing it correctly. I thought I would be intimated because this was something I was kind of nervous about doing, but it was fun! I would definitely take this class here in the future again. One thing though: the class may go on longer than expected. I would suggest not making a tight schedule, allow a half-hour more than expected. Otherwise great!

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa3 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Awesome Instructor!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.A aron 753 years agoI attended the Skills Session on January 24th in Minneapolis. The instructor was phenomenal! He went above and beyond just the skills and explained in detail WHY things are done the way they are. It was also helpful that he had real-world experience in the medical field and has been emergency situations. I was required to attend this training for my job and was not enthused about going, however, it turned out to be extremely interesting and I would recommend this training to anyone!

Great experience

The instructor was professional, gloves, masks and hand sanitizer were provided as well as individual dummies for everyone enrolled. I was only there for the CPR/AED session, so I didn't get to experience the First Aid course, but the experience was great. It kept my attention, the slides and videos were quick and engaging. I really liked the hands-on portion. I will definitely take this course again in 2 years and look forward to it.

This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.teachermom5 years agoI greatly appreciate the ability to do a large portion of the class online. With 4 kids and a very busy schedule, this made taking the class much more manageable and easier to fit into my family's schedule. The online portion was also extremely helpful with the way it was laid out and how you were made to do the steps several times to pass. Very hands on for an online course. The in-class teacher was also extremely personable and put any anxieties I had about doing things correctly at ... ease. I left with the confidence that I could do this if I needed to and I would know what to do. Thank you!

By far the most memorable training!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Hadrey6 years agoI’ve had to keep up CPR training for several years for work, but this was my first time using Red Cross - and I will never use a different source for training now! The online course was so repetitive, while placing you in many different realistic scenarios - and the interactive course trainer was so personable and made sure all students were worked with individually. This has been the first course that I feel remarkably confident that I can remember every vital step in an emergency scenario!

I was able to purchase the online and in person review together online and get it all done in less than a week! The online portion was quick and simple, easy to understand and great review, and the in-person portion was also quick and simple, while being effective at preparing me and helping me feel confident in an emergency. Great teaching.

No regrets

My son needed the certification for his job, and I wanted to take it just for the practice. The building was easy to get to with easy parking. The course was 2 hours and 15 minutes. In that short amount of time we learned so much. There was a mix of videos, discussion time, and hands on practice. The instructor was nice and easy going, and we felt comfortable contributing and asking questions. I highly recommend this class.

The instructor was engaging, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. He was clear on what the goals of CPR should be, and the strategies he illustrated were consistent with those goals. The CPR dummy had indicator lights, which were helpful in judging how deep to go. Everyone needs to know CPR.
