BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR TRAINER
Do you or your Instructors, Instructor Trainers and/or Training Center Faculty hold a current Instructor certification from a comparable training organization such as the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Health & Safety Institute (HSI)? If so, it’s easy to bridge to American Red Cross training courses.
1. Register for the appropriate bridge course. 2. Fill out the online form and submit it with the required credentials. 3. Review program materials for the course. 4. Take the free online Instructor bridge course. No in-person class is required.

Do you have Instructors and/or Instructor Trainers certified with another equivalent training program and interested in teaching Red Cross Lifeguarding Programs? It’s easy to get trained by completing an abbreviated blended learning crossover course designed for Instructors to achieve Red Cross instructor certification to teach. I recently completed the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED instructor course, and I cannot recommend it highly enough—largely thanks to our phenomenal instructor, Orlando. Orlando is an incredibly engaging educator with very thorough teaching techniques and styles. An 8-hour training day can easily become exhausting, but he managed to keep the entire class active, focused, and energized from start to finish. He didn't just present the information; he went above and beyond to help us truly connect with the material so we could feel confident applying and teaching these lifesaving skills ourselves. If you have the opportunity to take a course taught by Orlando, do not hesitate. He is a fantastic instructor and a true asset to the American Red Cross!
