The Instructor Bridge is an online course that allows instructors certified with other organizations to participate in online training and become certified American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED instructors. This course provides an orientation to the American Red Cross and the First Aid/CPR/AED program materials policies and teaching strategies while recognizing their training and teaching experience.Candidates must meet course prerequisites and upload qualifying credential to complete the training and earn American Red Cross instructor (trainer) certification.

Prerequisites

To participate in the First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Bridge, candidates must possess the following:
• A current basic-level certification in Adult CPR/AED (or higher level) from the American Red Cross or an equivalent – refer to Table A below.
• A current instructor certification – refer to Table B below.
Proof of these certifications is required to apply for the Instructor Bridge.
