Rated 3 out of 5 by from Convenient Course- but a few glitches I loved that this course was online and easy to understand, interactive, and relevant. However, I did have a few problems with the interactive parts of the lesson, specifically the drag and drop portions of the course. I tried multiple computers and multiple internet connections to try to fix the problem, but it didn't work. Finally, after calling tech support (who were very helpful and patient!) I was able to complete the course. I only wish that there was a simpler version of the course I could take online if the current course wasn't working correctly. It was frustrating because I knew the answer I needed to submit, but the program wasn't allowing it. Hopefully future courses run smoother.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok but not excellent This course did an ok job covering the basic material, however it was lacking in several areas. First, the material was not very well organized. For example, the signs and symptoms were never presented all together in one spot. Second, the material was not always consistent. For example, in several places it says to administer the epi-pen for 10 seconds and in another it says 15-20 seconds. And finally, it would have been nice if they provided a one page, printable summary of the course at the end to include in your first aid kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved the Entire Presentation It becomes hard for me to focus at times when having to sit at a computer, especially to do training. Out of many training classes I have taken online, this kept me awake and interested the entire time. To others, it may seem childish regarding to how some of the questions were set up to be answered. Yet that was also apart of what made me love it so much. The presentation wasn't just click A, B, C or D. It made you drag and drop to the appropriate locations, making me repeat actions instead of just hearing about the action. This worked very well for my learning style.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good info but missing items I took this course a few months ago online. The information was detailed and informational. However, when I signed up for the course there was a note that said upon completion I would receive a free epi pen. I never received additional information on how to claim that item. Otherwise the course was fine

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective content I took the course on March 18 2016 from my work computer. The videos were brief and effective. I have to change some sort of setting (pop-up enabling or ActiveX control) to do the cursor moving demo activity, but luckily there was a coworker who figured that out for me so I was able to continue with the course. I did not get the prompt to call to request an injector. I was able to take notes on a chrono pad but wish there was a way to take notes on side of course that I could then save as a file or email to myself.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacking in Scope I took this course as part of a job requirement. I experienced difficulties "launching" the program and had to call Red Cross for assistance. The "launch" function was not very user-friendly. The curriculum that dealt with anaphalytic symptoms was helpful and informative. Unfortunately, the EpiPens and instructions demonstrated in the course are outdated by more sophisticated technology. When I got the day after taking the course, two students had "talking" EpiPens and I felt totally uneducated with regards to their administration which differs in many regards to a traditional EpiPen. For this reason, I would greatly appreciate a refund of the course fee. Please contact me with details of how to brain a refund. Thank you in advance.
