Rated 4 out of 5 by from FerenceedSolid Foundation/Review I was seeking a First Aid/CPR/AED course since I was going to be taking jobs in healthcare and education when I found this certification was also available. I thought it was a useful addition to that training and like that there is a certification with reference number. I liked the online format and quick access to the information. It seemed as though the quizzing could have been more challenging in order to better retain the information later. I also wish the certification was for 2 years. Renewing every year could become expensive. Otherwise it provided a good foundation or a quick refresher for those with prior training or knowledge.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It was ok... The whole thing was kind of a hassle and I almost asked for a refund and found the test elsewhere. Most people these days use their phones or tablets which you are unable to do with this course because (iPhones/iPads) do no use a flash player. There were also very specific versions of various browsers that you could only view the test on, even after I downloaded the flash player. I have 2 work computers and luckily, one of them had an outdated version of internet explorer that participated with the requirements. The test itself was fine...good info, reviews and examples.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flash? Your software requires Flash? It was very frustrating trying to get the course to load because it used Flash, but most browsers have stopped using Flash because it's obsolete. It took several tries on several browsers until we found a workaround. You may as well require people to use AOL Desktop or Windows95.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Couldn’t get to the course for 24 hours Tried a tablet and laptop and three browsers, and couldn’t get to the course the day I registered. The redirect from clicking on the course link would take me to the Red Cross front page. Next day took a while to find a browser that still allows Flash. Course itself is ok, but videos need to be transferred into a different format for the future, or no one will be able to take the online classes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would NEVER take this online class again This one course was the most frustrating piece about our application to become DCS certified foster parents. The videos were ridiculously short, some as short as 34 seconds. No reason why. And, when I went through the practice assessments, I was told I only got 1 of 5 correct when I had gotten all of them correct. This made me worried that the program was corrupt and I began taking screen shots of all of the correct answers I earned in case I needed to prove my understanding. The exam went smoothly, fortunately, but by this point I was so incredibly angry that I'd already begun composing this review in my head. Clearly this is information is suitable for online presentation. However, this course was done so poorly, I worry that folks who haven't already had this information might learn nothing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sufficient Training, Terrible Website I appreciated that the course was done efficiently, but getting registered was problematic and the email link to my certificate was faulty and I still can't get it. Site update needed big time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too simplistic This course was much too simplistic for my needs as a scientific researcher. A whole section on putting the steps of washing your hands in order? The whole course could be boiled down to two things: avoid touching other people's blood and wash your hands after doing so (even if you are wearing gloves). These are common lab practice anyway. Please update the course (or split a different one off) for those of us studying blood in a laboratory setting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Descriptive Required. To be qualified to sit at desk and perform clerical duties at Iowa State Fair consisting of entering casework on patients seen for injuries, answering phone, handing out bandaids and sunscreen portions to parents who leave home forgetting that the sun often shines in the daytime during Iowa summers and that flip-flops are not suitable footwear when walking all day thru manure in the stock barns with the open blisters that often result and get infected and require cleaning and dressing by someone other than myself, so that I will have something to do to occupy my time. The end.
