Take a Red Cross CPR Class

Red Cross CPR Training
American Red Cross CPR classes are designed for the way you live, and learn. With options available on weekdays and weekends, plus online, instructor-led and blended learning course formats, you can get the CPR training you need on your schedule. From personalized learning to interactive scenarios to peer-to-peer learning and hands-on skills practice, our world-class instruction will give you the skills and confidence to perform this life-saving procedure when it's needed the most.

Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Instructor and Training Were Great!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.StephRiv4 years agoI didn't know what to expect when I signed up for this course because of how Covid has really changed the way we do almost everything. So I was worried it would be more video instruction and not so much hands on. I actually really ended up loving the video modules followed by the in class instruction. Our instructor was very articulate in explaining the CPR and AED procedure. And, yes, you do get to practice with a "dummy". I think that the instructor made something that can be mundane an ... enjoyable and memorable experience.

Great foundation to understand the techniques
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.ACSK856 years agoI found the pre-work online portion to be very useful. It was detailed, interactive and really taught the techniques well. Once we got in person, it made the hands on portion much easier and solidified the knowledge well. My only negative about the course was that, while the instructor was good, he had an incredibly strong accent that made it difficult to understand a lot of what was being talked about. If I hadn't done the pre-work, I would not have understood much.

CPR/AED blended class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Very confident responder3 weeks agoI enjoyed my blended CPR/AED class. Taking the online portion was informative. I enjoyed that I could take it without interuptions in the comfort of my home. The in-class portion was really great! I put into action what we learned online, and reviewed in class. Our instructor was outstanding. She explained, and tested us just so we performed just like in the videos. I feel confident that I can assist anyone in distress using the skills I learned. Thank you Red Cross!

Just what I needed
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.QIZU4 years agoI'm required to stay up-to-date on certification in AED/CPR/FA for my job, and since my job wasn't allowed to do our normal in-person trainings this year due to COVID, we were all on our own. The online class followed by the 1-year provisional in-person class ended up being perfect for me. Everything I needed to review was covered, and in a way I could easily understand. The instructor for the in-person class was a little cranky at first, but it was early in the morning, so no judgement. He ... ended up covering everything we needed to know very professionally once we actually got started.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa4 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

Excellent CPR Class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Mike771 month agoCPR Renewal Class--My wife and I took the CPR Renewal Class recently and were very pleased with the instruction. The instructor was engaging, knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. He was clear on what the goals of CPR should be, and the strategies he illustrated were consistent with those goals. The CPR dummy had indicator lights, which were helpful in judging how deep to go. Everyone needs to know CPR.

Everything from registering for the appointment, communications about the appointment and the class itself were very efficient. The instructor Virginia Marchant was excellent keeping the session moving along while covering everything and answering all of the questions as the came up.

A fun class
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.DDale1 week agoI have taken many CPR/1st Aid classes over the years, and this was the best one yet. The instructor was very knowledgeable and broke it down for us telling us the most important things to remember. She kept the class on track so we could finish on time. Having a smaller class that I got to practice the skills with a partner was very helpful.

Great training for pros and non-pros
This reviewer rated product 4 out of 5 stars.mdr2411 day agoFirst off, I am grateful to the Red Cross for offering training, and not just to first responders and those in the medical field who require it, but also to members of the public like me. I thought the class was good. The presenter was helpful and while she could have done more with the presentation than mostly reading the PowerPoint, she immediately answered all questions and gave hands-on advice/support. I feel more confident with having the training under my belt.
