Performing CPR
When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

Made me want to keep learning and practicing
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.GSCa4 years agoThe online portion was a little glitchy at times, but the organization was stepped well, required increasing autonomy to internalize skills while keeping a good amount of support/scaffolding, and in general felt like people who were good instructors designed it. The sections were a good length. The in-person instructor, Randy, was excellent. To the point but also patient, used humor well, and I felt set a high bar for himself and the class while also being extremely supportive. I was actually ... a little disappointed to leave and would like to take further training with him.

In order to recertify in time, I registered for the online class. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was impressed. The "Missions" were well done, and I was able to watch them a second time for reinforcement. I then went for my in-person skills testing. My instructor was great. She reviewed the highlights and ran us through a practice run before we tested. I am happy to recommend this class.

Everything from registering for the appointment, communications about the appointment and the class itself were very efficient. The instructor Virginia Marchant was excellent keeping the session moving along while covering everything and answering all of the questions as the came up.

Amazing, engaging, class!

Mr. Tony Boyd did an amazing job he was very energetic and the rhymes he did were very helpful to remember, “get on the chest, cause that’s what’s best, and compress compress compress!”. I’d recommend this course for anyone looking to renew or learn cpr, it was small and he paid attention to everyone so it feels more personal and helpful. I’ll be back in 2 years to renew again!

CPR/AED blended class

I enjoyed that I could take it without interuptions in the comfort of my home. The in-class portion was really great! I put into action what we learned online, and reviewed in class. Our instructor was outstanding. She explained, and tested us just so we performed just like in the videos. I feel confident that I can assist anyone in distress using the skills I learned. Thank you Red Cross!

By far the most memorable training!
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.Hadrey6 years agoI’ve had to keep up CPR training for several years for work, but this was my first time using Red Cross - and I will never use a different source for training now! The online course was so repetitive, while placing you in many different realistic scenarios - and the interactive course trainer was so personable and made sure all students were worked with individually. This has been the first course that I feel remarkably confident that I can remember every vital step in an emergency scenario!

With 4 kids and a very busy schedule, this made taking the class much more manageable and easier to fit into my family's schedule. The online portion was also extremely helpful with the way it was laid out and how you were made to do the steps several times to pass. Very hands on for an online course. The in-class teacher was also extremely personable and put any anxieties I had about doing things correctly at ... ease. I left with the confidence that I could do this if I needed to and I would know what to do. Thank you!

Great training! Hands-on and informative
This reviewer rated product 5 out of 5 stars.School Admin5 days agoThe Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED class was extremely helpful and informative. Our instructor kept things moving, but also took the time to answer all of our questions. The videos are clear and informative and the chance to practice these safety skills on the 'dummies' with appropriate equipment is invaluable. I know I will remember how do use these procedures much better after practicing them than if I had only read about them or watched a video.

Learning to Save a Life

Melanie was the instructor for our class and made 3 hours vanish it went by so quickly! She talked to us not at us, asked questions about our experience and why we wanted to learn. She helped those who might not grasp the concept as quickly, but was always helpful and supportive! She is friendly and knowledgeable about what she teaches and enjoys the personal interaction with her students. She is most ... definitely in the right place doing the right job!

Insightful and practical training

I hope that I am not required to use the training but I feel confident that if the need arises I am much better prepared than I was to help. I discovered that I didn't know the basics for example when to and when not to use CPR. I found the Check Call Care approach logical and I am sure it has saved lives. And the SAMPLE checklist is very helpful. There is a lot to remember from this short course. Our instructor was wonderful - patient and professional.
