The Red Cross not only offers CPR training for adults, but we can also host CPR classes for kids in Rockford. Through our private group lessons, you can arrange for CPR training for your scout troop, youth group, an outdoor club, sports team, etc. All of our instructors are skilled in CPR techniques and instruction – which means that they can deliver information in a variety of ways so that everyone understands the how, when, and why to administer CPR. And with an in-person skills session, the kids in your group will also gain the skills and confidence necessary to help them save a life.

Through our blended Simulation Learning program, you can earn full, OSHA-compliant CPR certification in a convenient online/in-person format. By combining online coursework with an in-person skills session, our Rockford CPR training classes are easy to work into your schedule. The online portion includes all of the same content that our in-person courses cover, but in a way that's more flexible. And with the option to attend one of a myriad of skills sessions, you'll also gain the opportunity to receive one-on-one instruction to ensure that you understand the techniques addressed in class. The Red Cross makes it easy for schools in Rockford to provide CPR training to their students and their faculty. Through our special program, your school can enter into an "authorized provider" agreement with the Red Cross, which simply guarantees that the school will adopt Red Cross training exclusively for its health and safety training needs. Afterward, we'll train adult faculty members in CPR and first aid – and provide them with instruction on how to effectively teach students those same skills. Once the course is successfully completed, your students will receive a CPR course completion card. Additional details are available on our CPR Programs for Schools page.

Note: Red Cross CPR programs schools waive student learner fees, however instructor training fees still apply.

After completing one of our Rockford CPR classes, you'll gain full access to our online Refresher Center. Here, you can test your skills through interactive quizzes, games, learning activities, and videos – and stay ready to help at a moment's notice. One reason we offer this is because studies have shown that less than half of CPR course participants can pass a skills test one year after training. In order to mitigate skill loss, we recommend completing one refresher every three months. For more information, visit our Refresher Center.
