Performing CPR

Performing CPR

When it comes to CPR, it's important to know how to treat both kids and adults. That's why, unless you sign up for a class that focuses on one population, our CPR trainings cover the procedures/steps for caring for adults, as well as children. Although we will prepare you to deliver care when it's needed most, the truth is, if you don't use your skills regularly, you're likely to lose them. So, to help prevent or mitigate loss of skills we offer online refresher materials that can help you retain the knowledge you've gained. In addition, we also provide you with access to a printable list of the basic steps for performing CPR. This way, you can keep the information you need right at your fingertips.

American Red Cross CPR Course Reviews

Great but Add some details for general knowledge

It was a good program for doing online. I liked that I could essentially test out of each section. I wish the overview and final included giving compressions to women/people with breast tissue, and being okay with pressing on their chest (and what to do if they have a bra on, or not)-since we statistically know the numbers for women receiving cpr are much lower because of that. I also would like for adult to adult Heimlich meneuver mentioned that if you are very short compared to a very tall person who is choking, what you need to do in order to help give an effective heimlich (have them get on all fours).

This online class was very informative and well-structured. The instructions were easy to follow, and the practical demonstrations were clear, I feel much more confident handling emergencies now. Highly recommend!
