About the Community

As a targeted PrepareSoCal vulnerable community, East Los Angeles ranks 22nd in vulnerability. It also happens to be the home of Los Angeles County’s Emergency Operations Center. The resiliency-building efforts by the American Red Cross to strengthen partnerships and implement community coalitions that enable East Los Angeles to live up to its motto – “Pride in the Past, Faith in the Future.”
